The Most Expensive Things are Free....

Sometimes the most expensive things are free!  That's right, I said it... free doesn't always mean free.  The picture above was taken on a trip to Cancun, where a free breakfast turned into several hundred dollar loss for me.  When you go anywhere in the world and the resorts are fairly nice and if they are a chain you have to be weary of time share promotions.  The people that sell this stuff are pro's... and if you never have sat thru one of these time share pitches... my best advice is DON'T.

You are in Cancun, you are offered an awesome breakfast (normally costing over $40) for free... what would any normal person do?  You take it.  All you can eat... just have to sit and eat with a sales person... Yeah... I can do that, no problem.  So I thought.

After the breakfast comes the sales pitch, just 30 minutes of your time.  The sales person goes into the benefits, shares some awesome features... and you are sold.  They don't give you much time alone to discuss things with your significant other.  Did he want it too... seemed like it to me. After we signed the paper work, and you start thinking of what you just did... thousands of dollars for a hotel room you can only use for 2 weeks during HURICANE season.... O crap! What did I do?... how did it happen?...can I cancel?

Sure you can cancel... but it's going to cost you! I ended up paying the cancellation fee, which was a couple of hundred bucks.  I didn't think I could be sold on something so easily, I honestly thought, we could have breakfast on the house and bail.  It was a waste of a day, the entire process takes as long as purchasing a car...

Worst thing I have ever done.  So bad that I had completely blocked it from my mind, until now.  Want to read more of my posts... go to my other site:  www.nelimontalvo.com
