Olvera Street At Night
Hey Neli! I’m in
Olvera Street… your Mexican, where should I eat?
Glad you are curious… let me tell you, the night we went up
to Glendale to check out the used Camry and ended up in a Tattoo Parlor, we
also ended up passing thru Downtown Los Angeles. I was with the husband, my brother, and his
girl friend, we decided to eat at Olvera Street, at a place called “La Luz Del
Dia Restaurant”.
This was the only place that was open past 8:30pm. What can I tell you… food here is very good,
service is awesome. Here is what we
ordered:
Bro: 2 carnitas tacos, 1 stew beef taco
GF: 2 nopalitos tacos (cactus)
Pat: Stew beef tostada
Me: 1 carnitas taco, 1 stew beef taco, and a Champurrado!
A Champu… what?
Champurrado… it’s kind of like hot chocolate, but thick because it is
also made with masa (corn flour).
This thing was PHENOMENAL!
It was one of the most delicious champurrados I had tasted, and I tend
not to like them too much, but I was curious and it was a cold night.
