How to handle a Cold and a Kid?

Today’s post is brought to you courtesy of a cold I have apparently caught… boooo. I was feeling pretty crummy yesterday, but managed to get thru the day.  I sat with my son, while he “fixed” several door hinges… but that activity didn’t last long. We sat in my truck and he moved all the levers he could, and pushed all the buttons.  Then he washed dishes for a while… My goal for the day was to under-exert myelf.  I went to my mom’s house and visited twice… The only thing that saved me was that I cooked enough food the day before and didn’t have to deal with a 1.75 year old and cooking food at the same time.  Here is the list of things I would recommend if you had a little one and a cold.
By the way, check out the video… I let my kid play with a microphone... it's cute..
  1. Visited grandma.
  2. Sit in the car and let him play with all the controls, levers and buttons.
  3. We pretended that Santi was fixing doors hinges with my handy dandy Milwaukee Drill
  4. I set up a stool next to the kitchen sink and he washed plastic dishes.
  5. Let them sing and dance… <—check out this video (click the link).
  6. Played with blocks
